Who is HP Performance?
HP Performance has specialized
exclusively in developing, building, testing and marketing
turbo systems and other performance upgrades for more than
four years. We have grown into facilities in excess of 20,000 sq.ft., providing space for activities including
installations, kit development, fabrication, manufacturing,
storage, inventory, shipping and offices. Instead of just
buying components from other vendors and "packaging" kits, we
do many of the steps in building a quality turbo system
in-house, such as fabrication, building headers, tubing kits,
intercoolers and turbochargers. We base our turbo systems and
have built our excellent reputation on ten basic principles:

fit well enough for anyone with average mechanical skills (and

Performance is HP's business
HP's business was founded on the
concept of cutting edge design, uncompromising quality and
superior performance, all at reasonable prices. After over
five years of building turbo kits, those founding principles
still guide HP. Our systems are found on everything from road
cars to street racers to full-on race cars, and the results of
following these principles is the common link.
High performance is not achieved
by just bolting on a turbocharger or any other "power adder"
and hitting the accelerator pedal. High performance is a goal
best met by utilizing a system; a careful blending of quality
engine components, drive train and suspension modifications,
and expert tuning. Our specialists are experienced and are
trained to advise you about the correct system for your car
and your driving goals.
HP has a state-of-the-art Mustang
1750 SE chassis dyno. We dyno-tune every car we do an
installation on, and insist that customers who install their
own kits do so as well. This step is critical to performance,
longevity and reliability. We used several systems for tuning
such as FAST, LT1 Edit, LS1 Edit, AEM and others. Our
technicians have extensive experience in the use of these
systems and can help you tune your car to perfection for all
driving styles.
The results of a "system" approach
is easily demonstrated. For example, the HP Streeturbo Stage
I 60mm turbo kit for the 79-95 Mustang with an unboosted
baseline of 204 rwhp produced 570 rwph and 707 rwtq @ 13 psi
boost. Similar increases have been achieved with many other
customers' cars.
Ease of installation
As an aftermarket turbocharger
system takes up more room in the engine compartment than stock
engines do, just how much more room becomes important when
clearances are tight. Today's cars are crammed with every
imaginable option, and all those options take up room. The
"old days" of being able to see the ground when you open your
hood is gone; likewise, being able to do many common
procedures on your modern engine is beyond the capability of
most people. We do our best not to make these things harder.
Sometimes even 1/4" makes the difference between a bolt-on
installation or a frustrating bash-and-thrash experience. HP
turbocharger systems not only fit your engine, but they're
built to allow the maximum room possible to clear spark plugs,
starters, air conditioning compressors, power steering pumps
and other components that you would rather not live without.
We design and build turbocharger systems for specific engines
in specific cars. We know they fit because we install them,
not just once in a while, but every day.
Prototyping and Installation
HP turbo kits can be installed by
anyone with average mechanical skills using ordinary hand
tools. We provide complete, illustrated instructions and
include a list of all the components shipped with the kit,
along with a list of the tools required and an estimated time
to complete the installation. HP has a technical hotline
available at no cost to you to answer any questions that may
arise.
No substitute for highest
quality
Your car is a major investment.
No one wants to compromise the value of their car with
sub-standard modifications. HP agrees completely. HP turbo
kits are comprised of only the highest quality components.
Many of the components are proprietary; We custom build them
at our facility to insure their high quality. All HP header
sets and tubing components are custom-built from CNC mandrel
bent 14 ga. tubing and TIG-welded and carry a lifetime
warranty. All HP headers and tubing are ceramic coated inside
and out by JetHot, the leading performance exhaust ceramic
coating company in the United States and are unconditionally
warranted for 3 years and carry a lifetime warranty against
rust-through.
Fabrication and Welding
HP turbochargers are also built
in-house from only the highest quality components for better
performance; they are proven to out-perform other similar
turbochargers. All the other components in our systems such
as wastegates, BOV's, fuel systems, silicone couplings, etc.,
are all equally high quality from the most respected
manufacturers in the industry. HP offers a full one-year
warranty on everything, even if the original manufacturer
(such as the wastegate, BOV, etc.) offers less. Every kit
shipped is quality checked several times before leaving our
facility. Our commitment to you, the customer, is "No
Compromises", and we stick to that commitment with every kit
sold.
HP kits provide
superior performance value
HP turbo kits are complete and,
while various upgrade options are offered, everything you need
is included in the base kit. There is nothing else to buy in
order to install the kit and drive your car. No more
discovering that you need another component that will cost you
more money. No more chasing around, wasting time and money
trying to find the "little" parts that other companies don't
include. No more nonsense. We don't try to fool people with
low-priced "specials" that often don't include many of the
major components required to successfully install a kit, like
mass air meters, fuel injectors, fuel pumps and even the
turbo! By the time you buy all these "options", those
"specials" are no bargain and their total price will be much
more than our complete kit. We even includes things that
other companies don't even offer, like proprietary turbos and
JetHot "Sterling" ceramic coating on all tubing parts
and headers.
HP Systems are upgradeable.
For most applications, we offer
Stage I, Stage II, Stage III and Race Systems. With each
successively more powerful system, you can discuss the system
with HP's tech department and specify the components and
upgrades you want in order to achieve the goals you have for
your vehicle. HP's base Stage I system requires no changes to
the vehicle or engine. Stage II and up may require
strengthening the engine components (forged internals, etc.),
drive train, etc., but this is up to you.....HP will provide
whatever you need to accomplish your goals. The Stage I, II
and III systems are designed to allow you to retain all of the
vehicle accessories such as power steering, a/c, etc. Moving
up from Stage I to Stage II is as simple as sending the
turbocharger to HP to be upgraded to the next size and allows
you to retain all the same piping and headers. Everything
bolts right back in the same location! Of course, fuel
upgrades or other changes may also be required depending on
the power level you want to achieve, but we can provide
everything needed.
Appearance is a priority
Every component included in HP
kits are chosen not only for their high standard of
performance, but for their aesthetic beauty. All tubing
components and headers are TIG welded and are Jet-Hot
"Sterling" ceramic coated. Our systems are designed to
enhance the appearance of the factory engine compartment and
not look like they were just added on without any
consideration of giving a professional, high-performance look.

we sell and also build complete cars, from stock turbo
installations to full race cars. HP knows what it takes to

making so much power right now the stock clutch is slipping.
Before the clutch started slipping, when it was cold out, it
would blow the tires off in 4th gear at 100 mph. The power is
unbelievable even at 10 psi.....Can

strong...Every time I get into boost it breaks
loose.....3.55's and dyno tune on the way. It runs good and I
am seeing 7lbs of boost. It seems to be fully spooled by 3000
RPM. I have 4.10 gears in it right now and it revs up so fast
it seems like I hit 6000 RPM before i can blink. I am getting
the 3.55's put in soon. It makes more power at 7lbs of boost
than my Vortech did at 12lbs."
